Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Detroit follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. EXTREMELY unorganized, there's rarely any help. one of two things happen. 1. they don't answer and tell you to leave a message. (the thing hangs up on you not even taking you to voicemail. They have inaccessible phone numbers. 2. they answer but transfer you to like 3 different offices like a ping pong ball. No help at all almost like they don't want the burden of helping you fix a problem. I've been contacting financial aid and they always tell me that I should expect a call within 48 to 72 hours. Time passes, in fact I gave them a week and still no response. I contacted them and they told me to wait again. I'm only here temporally. I don't want to imagine the hassle full-time students have to go through.

The way that the financial aid department talks to you is horrendous for no reason I simply called to ask about a document in a calm manner because I’m returning back to school. The lady was extremely unprofessional and rude. Please WCCCD audit your phone calls and train your workers professionally the way they talk to you is awful. Also workers need to be mindful of who they speak to over the phone you do not know who knows who or what position they hold.

This school will put you through every single unnecessary hold they can possibly place on your account. Then when you call the financial aid office, they either tell you to wait or to contact your professors yourself. Here's the kicker, the professors do not respond. You will be lucky if you get a response within a month, let alone at all. My current professor of COR100, Warren Evans, has completely disappeared from the class, which includes not responding to emails, posts, or even posting assignments for us to do. It is currently just a shell class. We've been in class for two weeks and all we've been able to submit is the welcome discussion. Being that I work for the City of Detroit, I will have absolutely no issues forwarding all of these issues to the Mayor so that she can see how the residents of Detroit who are trying to progress in their education are being treated and scammed. I have been in classes for 2 months and have yet to have my Financial Aid released. This school has been horribly unorganized from start to finish, including losing all of my transcripts, failing to properly upload my information into the system, and now holding financial aid hostage from students. Very unorganized staff Samuel Craig AAS and James Jackson (CJS) both do not respond to emails I have emailed both 4 times on the same issue which is having a hold on my financial aid because they didn’t log my attendance and still no response. I called the distance learning hotline and they told me to wait 48 more hours on top of what I already waited and the financial aid department sent me in circles as well. This is not the first instance of wcccd having these problems with these teachers unfortunately I didn’t read the rate my professor and these teachers are known for doing this wcccd do BETTER!
